Lomega STUCO to Host Veteran's Day Assembly
The Lomega High School Student Council will host a special Veteran's Day assembly Monday, November 11 at the high school gymnasium. The Student Council will host a meal at noon for veteran's and their spouses, followed by the assembly, which will begin at 1:00 p.m.
The assembly will include a presentation of colors, reading of patriotic poems and recognition of veterans, all by Lomega STUCO officers. Lisa Meier will perform God Bless America, and there will be a speech by guest speaker Staff Sergeant Lee T. Osterhout. Born in Oklahoma City and raised in Palm Beach, Florida, Osterhout has served in the United States Army for 17 years. He was deployed to Iraq for 15 months and stationed in Korea for three years. He has since served as an instructor and is now a recruiter for the Army.
All are encouraged to attend, as the program is open to the public.
