Cross Country Team Finishes 3rd at Regionals, Qualifies for State

The Lomega Boys Cross Country team traveled to Enid Saturday to compete in the Regional cross country meet.  Tate Ott finished 4th with a time of 18:21 and Hector Rivera finished 10th with a time of 18:46, earning each an individual medal.  As a team, the Raiders finished 3rd overall with 125 points, behind Mooreland (32) and Hooker (75).  The 3rd place finish earned the team a trip to the State Cross Country Meet, which will be held Saturday, October 26 in Shawnee.  

 

Also competing for the Raiders Saturday were Riley Lumpkin (31st - 20:10), Blake Snowden (62nd - 22:00), Daxon Duffy (72nd - 22:44), Brooks Uhlenhake (75th - 22:59) and JesseJames Johnston (83rd - 23:12). 

 

Dilon Fisher was not able to compete at Regionals Saturday due to an injury, but will likely be ready for State.

2A Boys will begin at 1:15 p.m. 

Awards will be presented 20 minutes after the conclusion of the race.
